Alpha 6 brings Qt Multimedia and QtCreator 3.0 support

Alpha 6  update adds multimedia module with audio support, update to Qt 5.2.2 and QtCreator 3.0 integration.  WHAT’S NEW IN QT TIZEN INTEGRATION 1.0 ALPHA 6? Audio support through Qt Multimedia module. Qt applications are not voiceless anymore. GStreamer 0.10 is used as audio backend. Video support is in progress. Qt Creator 3.0 integration.  Now you can use newest version of your favorite IDE to develop Tizen applications. It is integrated with  smart development bridge(sdb)  server and prepared for integration with  git build system . WHAT’S NEW IN QT FOR TIZEN ALPHA 6? 5.2 .2 Qt for Tizen uses not yet released released Qt 5.2.2.   WHICH TIZEN PROFILES CAN USE QT? Qt packages are built in Tizen's Open Build System. Meet Qt Contributors at the Tizen Developer Conference 2014

In case you're close to San Francisco next week, don't miss the  Tizen Developer Conference 2014  because Qt is covered there rather extensively! On Tuesday, June 3 at 2:15 pm, top contributor of the Qt for Tizen project Tomasz Olszak will introduce people (these that are for some reason not yet accustomed with it) cuteness of Qt and its Tizen port. His presentation is called  Qt and Tizen together can do more . Everyone will have opportunity to talk to Tomasz in person during the three conference days. Other Qt for Tizen contributor,  Leon Anavi  will popularize  porting Tizen to open-source hardware devices for beginners . Leon is known for his ports of Tizen to various devices where Qt apps worked just fine from early days. His presentation is scheduled on the same day at 11:30 am. Just after Leon's talk you would also definitely want to meet another great Qt for Tizen contributor Philippe Coval ( RzR ) from Eurogiciel who will talk on about cooperating with upstream

Samsung is ready with Tizen App Store and Redwood GT-i8800

In this year’s second  Tizen developer conference  in San Francisco we got to see a demo of Tizen App Store running on  Samsung Redwood GT-i8800 . The device was using Tizen version 2.1. Check out the video at the end of this post We can see that Samsung is almost ready with its device Redwood running on Tizen 2.1 and the App Store. We’ll be seeing Tizen based phones in market in the quarter of this year.
